Obiettivi formativi

The class contributes to the achievement of the educational aims of the Master's Degree Course in Philosophy with the aim of presenting and discussing aspects of the philosophy of photography. In addition to classical questions of the ontology of art and the philosophy of the image, both issues of aesthetics such as those of authenticity and expressiveness as well as new contemporary theoretical approaches (such as the new analytic philosophy pf photpgraphy and post-photography)  will be discussed.

(A) L

The final evaluation of students will result from the following components: (A) in-class presentations and discussions of texts, (B) one 2-hour exam consisting of a written test with open-ended questions. Alternatively, attending students may choose to write a (max) 3000-words paper on a topic related to the course subject and decided in consultation with the instructor.
