Development of ability to expose, analyze and critically understand philosophical texts, and in particular to identify and evaluate relevant philosophical questions and compare different theorical positions.

Lo studente dovrà giungere a conoscere in modo non superficiale i temi trattati sia nel loro contesto storico sia in relazione ad altre posizioni teoriche; acquisire la capacità di esporre, spiegare e commentare criticamente passi o argomentazioni propri di un testo filosofico.
The student is required to acquire more than superficial knowledge of the covered topics both in their historical context and in relation to other theorical positions; to develop the ability to espose, explain and critically comment passages or argumentations of a philosophical text.

Modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento
I risultati saranno valutati sia durante il corso sia con un esame finale orale. Lo studente dovrà dimostrare a) la capacità di comprendere e analizzare i testi proposti; b) buona padronanza del vocabolario filosofico pertinente; c) capacità di identificare le strutture argomentative nei testi proposti. Il voto finale è espresso in trentesimi.
The learning results will be assessed both during the course and with a final oral exam. In order to meet the course requirements the students will have to show a) the capacity to understand and analyze the proposed texts ; b) a good mastery of the pertinent philosophical vocabulary; c) the ability to identify argumentative structures in the proposed texts. The final grade is based on a 30-point scale.

Il concetto di verità: Hegel, Heidegger, Gadamer. Il corso si propone di illustrare il concetto di verità dell'ermeneutica filosofica, mostrando la sua relazione con la filosofia di Hegel. Si prenderà in considerazione in particolare il significato esperienziale di tale concetto, non riducibile alla concezione corrispondentista della verità, perché definibile piuttosto nei termini di ciò che Gadamer chiama "incremento d'essere".

- Il carattere eventuale della verità e il suo significato esperienziale

The concept of truth: Hegel, Heidegger, Gadamer. The course aims at showing the concept of truth in the philosophical hermeneutics, in its relation to Hegel's philosophy. Particular attention will be payed to the experiential signification of this concept, which cannot be reduced to the correspondence theory of truth, since it can rather be defined in terms of what Gadamer calls "increase in being".
